YEKABHUKTHAM,BHOOSAYANAM.This is supposed to be the life style of bachelors in olden days.Having betel leaves after Lunch or dinner is supposed to be the life style of married persons.Here ,the writer is saying that a mouth which does not chew Betel leaves is a waste.It means that he is implying that every one should have healthy marital life.
There is also a saying in Telugu--bhogi kaanivaadu,yogi kaaledu ani.
So after reaching appropriate age,it is necessary that one should lead a married life.Then the society also would be going in the right path.
We should be talented enough to handle to different people effectively.Otherwise you are a failure.Situations and people will not come to us according to our choice and taste.So you should be intelligent enough to handle the situation.Other wise you pale out before others.
As Darwin says there is always struggle for existence and in it survival of the fittest
we see often.
Lake ,ponds and tanks should have lotus flowers in them.It is there natural habitat.If the conditions are not congenial for their existence,they cant survive.They bring beauty to the nature .Man gets relaxed when he sees nature in its true colors.Even otherwise we should live and let live.So unless the pond is polluted or contaminated,lotus would have survived.So we should be aware not to spoil the beauty of the nature.
Romance springs up during night and for every one ,moon and moonlight are the catalysts in improvising romantic mood.Even writers are inspired by moonlight.If a person falls in love at first sight,they say he moonstruck.So moon has so much importance in every ones life whether directly or indirectly.
That is why Writer is insisting that a mouth without tasting betel leaves, lack of intelligence to cope up,pond without lotus flowers and moonless night are an utter waste.
