Writer is mentioning some of the waste and meaningless deeds.A persons writings ,who has no finess in writing abilities, are an utter waste.A womans love and lust ,who has no experience in all the nine emotions,ie navarasas ,is meaningless and not wholesome.A person who cannot catch a pig by running ,is a complete failure,even if he has mastery in using all other arms and ammunitions.
So what is implied in all these examples is practicality is more important than having theoretical knowledge. Using and implementation of arts and artistry is more important than mugging up or mechanically learning everything.
